On Sunday September 15, 2013, at Riverview Farm, 489 Tryon Street, Second Century Fund presents:

Books, Bites, & Bordeaux

 — a celebration of local food, wine and cookbooks, featuring Glastonbury food guru Jackie Parente.

In her book talk, Jackie Parente will discuss how her passions of local food and writing converged, and will give a short cooking demonstration, to tempt us to appreciate our seasonal, local produce. Copies of her book, Can It!, will be available for sale and signing.

A wide selection of hors d’oeuvres and desserts will be provided by local caterers Ginger and Pickles, and will include seafood donated by the Anagnos family, owners of the City Fish Market in Wethersfield.

Music at the event will be supplied by the Sam Parker Jazz Trio.
